New York Fashion Week
Spring Summer 2012 Womenswear

Fashion Week FEVER went viral...as New York Fashion week unveils their latest Fashion forecast for Spring/ Summer 2012. Sophistication, Hi-Fashion, Glamour, Flirtatious and Feminine definitely ruled the runway from our favorite American designers.

Michael Kors

I love his interpretation of African Safari, from the bold animal prints. To the lightweight yet elegant fabrics, down to the very accessories that completed his collection.

I love the one-piece white suit (middle) with high-waisted belt, covered in elegant and flowy trench coat with gladiator inspired sandals. Perfect for the summer getaway.
Picture
Haltered sun-dress (middle) is so elegant and chic. The moss green Jumpsuit (right) with utilitarian belt bag and knee-high, open toed sandals is simply to die-for.
Picture
(Left) Mustard dress for that non-complicated style. (Middle) I so love the use of patten and play with texture. Michael Kors elegantly mixed Leopard print and feathers and made it look so regal. (Right) Bringing the poncho back...

(Left) one-piece Resort wear with prints. (Middle) Another take on patterns and texture. (Right) Strapless cocktail dress.

Monique Lhullier

Our very own Monique Lhullier designed her collection of evening dresses for that perfect occasion. Seeing her collection makes me really proud how talented Filipino minds are. :D Monique made sure to capture the "curves" of the female body, right peeks and valleys for that sophisticated "sexy"

Don't you just love the "hour glass" figure of her creations.

(Middle) That little "black and white" dress. This would certainly appeal to most women of different shapes. Black and White color was strategically designed to give that optical illusion of shapes and curves.

I have seen the Red Carpet special of Emmy's and the one in the middle would've been so perfect and will complement the red carpet. I love the play on the neckline which shows great space for that "peek" and gives the right amount of skin from waist down. Sexy and very chic.

BCBG Max Azaria

Bold colors, color blocking and light fabrics were chosen for this collection. I love the use of bright earth tones and playing with the pattern/ shapes made the collection very elegant and sophisticated.

Betsey Johnson

Betsey Johnson is known for eclectic pieces on the runway. For this collection, I see that she has held back a little and showcased a very flirtatious, young and hip collection. Yet staying true to her design aesthetic, playing with jewel tone colors, funky cuts and eclectic accessories. Who wouldn't fall in love with her collection.

(Middle) Sheer dress in floral prints. (Right) I can see this dress being worn in funky yet stylish events such as VMA, Grammys. Take notice of the lightning earrings, screams "glam rock"

(Left) I love the headpiece, it looks like a jeweled crown. I would want to wear it anytime of the day :D

Sexy intimates for that special occasions

Vera Wang

The world famous Wedding gown designer Vera Wang mixed "structure" and "flow" in her collection. You would notice how the bodice are elegantly structured and the bottom part are made of sheer and light material for that easy, breezy feel.

DKNY

Accessories and Color are two of my most favorite thing in dressing up. When I saw Donna Karan's collection, I was floored with the use of huge and sophisticated hats and bright Earth colors for Spring/ Summer look.  The backdrop of her runway show was so New York- a NY Cab, truly reminds me of Sex and the City.

Looking at the wonderful pieces in New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2012 makes me drool for our very own Philippine Fashion Week. October marks the launch of talented Filipino Designers, showcasing their take on Spring/ Summer 2012 for PFW. I just can't wait to see what amazing designs to strut our runways.

I have another set for New York Fashion Week- Men's collection. Lately I have been dying to see "Amish" inspired looks for men and so far there were a couple of designers of NYFW showcasing these style.

Happy Weekend everyone!!! Stay Safe and I will see you soon. :D
